A Rustic Log Store

As with many of our projects, a school approached us with a request for a large covered log store, the school having many trees in its ground and the head and all its staff being passionate about its ground, how could we refuse?

The construct had to be very strong, but not an eye sore, off to the office we go armed with computer and auto cad, having been in the stable construction business for many years we designed it around a small field shelter, with a few nice touches. Once the design was agreed we headed back to the workshop and made the log store with all sawn timber this time. Braced it for strength and durability. We lined it with short sawn planks of timber to protect the structure from heavy logs and the good chance of damage when stocking the log store!

Going up

The log store was made into kit form, from 4x2 and sawn feather edge boarding and cut into van size pieces. Once in place, it took about 4 hrs to erect, school head very pleased, another happy customer!
